To commemorate National Parkinson’s Awareness Month, the Hope Parkinson Program is offering a virtual education event in partnership with Lee Health Rehabilitation Services to share tips and tricks to help manage symptoms of the disease.
Designed for those diagnosed with Parkinson’s and their care partners, the interactive Zoom event Wednesday, April 14 at 11 a.m. will feature a panel of Lee Health Rehabilitation Services’ speech and swallowing, physical, and occupational therapists. The hour-long event will include opportunities to ask questions of the experts about mobility, balance, and activities of daily living.
This event is open to the community at no cost. Preregistration is required by emailing PDevents@HopeHCS.org or calling 239-425-9886. One-on-one assistance is available in advance for individuals who need help learning how to access the virtual event from their computer, tablet, or phone.
