Hope President and CEO Samira K. Beckwith Receives “The Senator’s Award – 2012”

Samira K. Beckwith, President and CEO of Hope Healthcare Services, has received “The Senator’s award – 2012,” presented annually by State Senator Michael “Mike” Bennett, Chair of the Senate Community Affairs Committee.

According to Senator Bennett, the award is presented to “citizens in southwest Florida who have responded to the new century and to these times in unique ways.”

As the Senator explained to Beckwith, “Your working relationship with so many people in the community and your ability to provide ‘out of the box’ approaches for the benefit of the patients and their care is an example for all of us.”

The Senator continued, “Your work in hospice and end-of-life care has made you a pioneer not only in our community but our state. Florida is all the more enriched with your work and the work of your organization. You prove the observation that Florida’s greatest resource is her people.”

Beckwith said, “I am grateful for this honor, and would like for it to be a reminder to the community that Hope is here to help everyone in need. For more than 20 years, my staff and I have worked to provide the best healthcare possible, and we deeply appreciate this special recognition.”
